League for Innovation in the Community College

Terry O'Banion is the president and CEO of the League for Innovation in the Community College, an international consortium of leading community colleges in the United States and Canada dedicated to experimentation and innovation. In 1993, the League celebrated its twenty-fifth anniversary and was cited as one of the most significant organizations in the community college field in a national study of community college organizations. In the same year, the League was recognized by the IBM Corporation for 25 years of distinguished partnership and by the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education International Service to Education—the only time in its 40-year history this award has been granted to a community college organization.

O'Banion holds a BA degree (cum laude) in English and speech from the University of Florida, an MEd in guidance and counseling from the University of Florida, and a PhD in administration in higher education from Florida State University.
