John Hibbs is the founder and director of the Benjamin Franklin Institute of Global Education. The Institute hosts Global Learn Day, an annual event which features the best and brightest in distance education and Internet technology by way of a nonstop virtual conference which takes place in 24 time zones. It also recruits and sends motivated college graduates overseas with the mission of promoting affordable online education in every part of the planet.

Hibbs has a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Oregon and holds an MBA from Golden Gate University in San Francisco. He has lived 20 years abroad where he worked in the business of imports and exports.
