Edmund Vitale, Jr. has been in education for 20 years, 10 of which were at Spartanburg Technical College teaching GED preparation, developmental reading and writing, and thinking and problem solving. Since 1990, he has been a consultant specializing in incorporating problem-solving and thinking skills into education, training, and workplace literacy programs. Vitale has consulted with the National Alliance for Business and the United States Department of Education Workplace Literacy Project in two states, and has customized workplace curricula for a broad range of service, manufacturing, and business organizations. He is presently working at James Madison University with the Virginia Workforce Improvement Network and the Workforce Development Campus as an instructional designer for both traditional and on-line courses.
