Diann Schindler-Ender
President
Schindler and Associates, Inc.

Diann Schindler-Ender, president of Schindler and Associates, Inc., grew up in the community college sector, from student, to faculty member, to administrator. As president of Minneapolis Community College, she led its consolidation with Minneapolis Technical College and served as president of the consolidated Minneapolis Community and Technical College. She also served as president of Oakland Community College's high-technology Auburn Hills Campus (MI) before "retiring" to South Jersey to establish CCollegeJobs.com.

Schindler-Ender's interest in developing CCollegeJobs.com emerged while she was an executive search consultant. She found that the community college sector was not poised to address the multitude of retirements that will take place over the next 5-10 years. In addition, she found that the sector did not have a national system in place to attract and recruit minorities, people of color, or individuals with disabilities.

Schindler-Ender has extensive experience in organizational reengineering and implementing strategies to shift human resources to support current and future needs. She has a deep appreciation of the diverse requirements of a broad range of leadership positions, having served as executive dean of Student Services at Milwaukee Area Technical College; vice president of Instruction at Nicolet College (WI); director of Humanities, Continuing Education, and Outreach at Olympic College (WA); and special assistant to the president and interim director of Institutional Planning and Research at Lorain County Community College (OH). In cooperation with the Consortium for Community College Development (University of Michigan), Diann also serves as the Consortium's director of Human Resources, Strategy, Planning, and Development.

Schindler-Ender has degrees from Oberlin College (BA in English) and the University of Akron (MA and PhD). She also attended seminars at Harvard University's Institute for the Management of Lifelong Education, including Revitalizing Higher Education and Seminar for New Presidents.
