David Gurr

David Gurr is a lecturer in the Department of Education Policy and Management, within the Faculty of Education of the University of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. His current research interests include leadership of schools, the impact of technology on those working in schools, and school supervision. He is the author of the book From Supervision to Quality Assurance: The Case of the State of Victoria (Australia) (IIEP, 1999). He is a member of the Australian Council for Educational Administration and editor of the Council's academic journal Leading and Managing and periodical Hot Topics. Previously he was a high school teacher and project officer within a government education department. He has qualifications in science (BSc), teaching (DipEd), counselling (Grad. Dip. Ed. Coun.) and educational psychology (MEd Psch.).
